The terms that make trust visible.

LeLe is India's TrustTech platform for digitising informal lending. We believe trust deserves documentation. These Terms explain how LeLe works, what we do, what we don't, and how you can use it with confidence.

By creating an account or documenting a loan on LeLe, you agree to these Terms and to our privacy practices.

Our positioning

LeLe is India's TrustTech platform for digitising informal lending.

Every loan documented through LeLe contributes to stronger relationships, greater transparency, and fewer misunderstandings. Our purpose is not to replace trust — it's to reinforce it.

What LeLe is

LeLe is a TrustTech platform that provides technology for:

  • Digital loan documentation
  • Digital acknowledgements
  • Repayment tracking
  • Payment reminders
  • Secure digital records
  • Trust-first financial interactions
What LeLe is not

LeLe is not:

  • A Bank
  • An NBFC
  • A Money Lending Company
  • A Loan Marketplace
  • A Financial Institution
  • A Debt Collection Agency
  • A Recovery Agent

LeLe never lends money or guarantees repayments. Users independently decide whether to lend or borrow.

Our core philosophy

Four ideas that shape everything LeLe does.

Trust deserves documentation.

Handshakes and voice notes fade. A clear, timestamped record preserves what both people already believed.

Technology should strengthen relationships — not replace them.

LeLe is not a courtroom. It's a quiet layer of clarity beneath the trust two people already share.

Digitising informal lending creates transparency without changing its personal nature.

Your loan is still your loan. LeLe simply makes the terms visible, remembered, and easy to honour.

Lend with confidence. Borrow responsibly.

When both parties see the same numbers, dates, and acknowledgements, misunderstandings disappear before they begin.

The terms in detail

Read once. Trust always.

01

About LeLe

LeLe is India's TrustTech platform for digitising informal lending. We provide the technology to document, acknowledge, manage and track personal loans between individuals and small businesses.

TrustTech — Trust Technology — is our approach: using software to reinforce trust, transparency, accountability and documentation between people who already know each other.

Our purpose is not to replace trust. It's to reinforce it.

02

Nature of loans documented on LeLe

Every loan documented through LeLe is a private, informal arrangement between the Lender and the Borrower named in the record. LeLe merely provides the technology that captures the terms both parties have already agreed to.

LeLe never lends money, guarantees repayments, holds funds, provides escrow, or acts as a counterparty. Users independently decide whether to lend or to borrow. LeLe is not a party to any loan.

03

Your account and verified identity

To use LeLe, you must complete LeLe Identity™ — our government-ID + selfie verification flow. Each government ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving Licence, or Passport) and each mobile number can be linked to only one LeLe account.

You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information and to use the name exactly as printed on your government ID. Your verified identity block is attached to every loan you create or sign, so both parties can trust who they are transacting with.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. LeLe will never ask for your password over phone, email, or WhatsApp.

04

Accuracy of information

The Lender confirms that all details entered — borrower name, contact, amount, interest, tenure, purpose, and any references — are accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Beyond LeLe Identity verification of each user, we do not independently investigate the financial standing or creditworthiness of any party.

05

Digital consent and acknowledgements

Before a loan record becomes fully documented, the Borrower must review the terms and provide digital consent through the private share link. Consent is timestamped, tied to the Borrower's verified identity, and forms the acknowledgement portion of the Loan Agreement and Demand Promissory Note generated by LeLe.

Declined or unacknowledged records remain visible to the Lender but are not treated as consented instruments.

06

Repayment tracking

Repayments logged on LeLe (including UPI or other references) are self-reported by the Lender or Borrower. LeLe does not process payments, hold funds, or provide escrow.

Recorded payments and any "Recovered", "Overdue", or "Active" statuses on the platform are for personal record-keeping between the two parties only.

07

Reminders and communication

Reminders are dispatched by opening your own device's WhatsApp with a pre-filled message. LeLe does not send SMS or WhatsApp messages on your behalf.

You are responsible for the tone, content, frequency, and consequences of any message you send. LeLe expects users to communicate respectfully at all times — no harassment, no threats, no impersonation.

08

Documents generated by LeLe

The PDF Loan Agreement and Demand Promissory Note generated by LeLe are for the personal use of the two parties. They include verified identity blocks, digital consent metadata, and, where available, capture location.

The legal enforceability of any document depends on applicable local laws, factual accuracy, stamping requirements, and the parties' subsequent conduct. For material transactions, we strongly encourage independent legal advice.

09

Data, privacy and security

Loan records, borrower details, identity references and reminders are stored securely and are visible only to the Lender and Borrower on each record — plus anyone the parties voluntarily share the record with.

We store only masked references of your government ID (for example, XXXX-XXXX-1234). We do not store full ID numbers in our operational database.

LeLe does not sell your data to third parties. Standard, encrypted service providers may be used to run the platform; they are contractually bound to the same standards of confidentiality.

10

Prohibited uses

You agree not to use LeLe to document usurious, coercive, or unlawful arrangements; to impersonate another person; to harass a borrower or lender; to attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the platform; or to upload any material you do not have the right to share.

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, and, where warranted, cooperate with law-enforcement authorities.

11

Fees

Core loan documentation on LeLe is free at launch. If we introduce paid features in the future, you will be told about them clearly before you use them. LeLe will never take a percentage of any loan amount.

12

Limitation of liability

LeLe is a documentation platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeLe is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from a Lender's decision to extend credit, a Borrower's failure to repay, or any dispute between the parties.

Users use LeLe at their own risk and remain solely responsible for their financial decisions.

13

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product improvements or legal requirements. If a change is material, we will highlight it inside the app. Continuing to use LeLe after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

14

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with LeLe shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

By creating a loan on LeLe, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them.
